To Mr. Petrakis, Dear Sir, I read your writings and I find them very offending. I was under the impression that this is an open forum to give each one of us the opportunity to express our thoughts. Reading your notes I get the feeling that you try to impress upon everyone else that PASOK, a follower of which obviously you are, has the truth and that truth is cloud computing. I find your attitude arrogant and childish. No one of us is purview to the truth simply because we do not have all the facts. If you think that you do, you are simply and arrogant dictator. I will say one thing about cloud computing. At the “multi-national” I worked, we began to use what you and other call “cloud computing” today about 12 years ago. Yes, the technology did not exit for you but when an IT department has 1 billion dollars budget can do whatever it wants. We used the “cloud” for internal purposes only. We soon had to address two major issues; data consistency and security. It took us a long time to learn how to manage both. I know, we are not as clever as the Greeks, but what can I say. I am a Greek too. You suggest of a cloud computing open to the public as well as to all government organizations. Known what I know of cloud computing, and I admit that technology evolves as I write, I find your assertion preposterous and childish. Another thought you express is that “any one who will stand in your way, will be pushed aside”. Obviously you have very little knowledge of human behavior and resistance to change. Your dislike of “multi-nationals”, we call them “global” now days, amuses me greatly because you work with their products on a daily bases. As to the “fact” that after 40 they push an employee aside because of their age, I want to say that I worked for a 40 billion dollars technology company in California until age 58 and I left when I decided that I did not want to work any longer. Sincerely, Christos Papadoulis
